XR-based Subsea Intervention Training Showcased at India Energy Week 2026

At India Energy Week 2026, Imaginate unveiled a collaboration that highlights the future of workforce training in the energy sector. The company showcased an XR-based Subsea Intervention Training solution developed on the Atom immersive platform, complete with haptics-enabled tactile gloves that allow for realistic subsea interaction.

The solution, built in partnership with immersive technology innovators, demonstrates how extended reality (XR), artificial intelligence (AI), and haptics can transform complex offshore training into safe, scalable, and highly engaging experiences.

Inside the Atom Experience

The Atom platform integrates multiple advanced technologies to deliver a holistic training environment:

  • AI Trainers in VR – Virtual instructors engage trainees in live, contextual conversations, adapting to their responses in real time.

  • High-Fidelity Digital Twins – Subsea systems are replicated with precision, enhanced by live IoT data visualization.

  • Live Action Tracking – Trainees execute procedures within immersive environments, ensuring accuracy and repeatability.

  • Safe & Scalable Training – Complex offshore operations can be practiced repeatedly without risk, building confidence and competence.

Live Demonstrations

Visitors to Hall No. 4B02 at the Reliance Booth experienced the solution between 27–30 January 2026, while additional demonstrations were hosted at the ONGC Academy Training Institute (ATI), Betul, Goa.

Shaping the Future of Energy Workforce Training

This collaboration underscores how immersive technologies are redefining the energy industry’s approach to workforce development. By merging XR, AI, digital twins, and haptics, the Atom platform equips professionals with the tools to train safely and effectively for subsea and offshore operations.

Reliance’s decision to showcase the solution at India Energy Week reflects a broader commitment to innovation and the adoption of advanced technologies that prepare the workforce for the challenges of tomorrow.
