Xiaomi Ecosystem announced via its official Weibo account that a new
smart glasses product will be revealed on March 24. Based on the teaser poster, the
upcoming glasses appear to be more compact than the previous MIJIA Smart Audio
Glasses, featuring slimmer temple arms, which is expected to significantly enhance
wearing comfort.

Rumors of Xiaomi developing AI-powered smart glasses have been circulating for
months, with reports suggesting a launch window between March and
April—perfectly aligning with this announcement. Industry insiders claim Xiaomi’s AI
glasses are designed as a direct competitor to Meta Ray-Ban, developed in
collaboration with Goertek. The device is expected to feature AI capabilities, an
integrated audio module, and a built-in camera, all under Xiaomi’s own brand.
Xiaomi has previously explored smart eyewear with the MIJIA Smart Audio Glasses,
which blended Bluetooth audio with traditional eyewear. While the first-generation
model focused primarily on open-ear audio transmission and noise reduction, the
upcoming AI glasses are expected to take a major leap forward by incorporating
advanced AI models, video and photo capture, and real-time scene recognition.

Additionally, Xiaomi will introduce the second-generation MIJIA Smart Audio Glasses
2, which will be available for crowdfunding on Xiaomi. The campaign kicks off at
10:00 AM on March 26, with an early-bird price of CNY 999.
