At the grand military parade in Beijing, Xiaomi founder Lei Jun was among the invited
guests. He revealed that he departed for the venue at around 3 a.m., well before dawn, to
attend the ceremony.
Lei Jun appeared at the viewing stand in formal attire, drawing attention for wearing Xiaomi’s
flagship new product of the year — the Xiaomi AI Glasses. He greeted cameras with a calm
and confident smile.
The Xiaomi AI Glasses project has attracted significant attention since its inception. According
to Li Chuangqi, head of the project, the initiative was personally approved by Lei Jun. Since
launch, the product has exceeded sales expectations. Despite stocking quantities surpassing
the annual output of many industry startups, the glasses quickly sold out, reflecting strong
market demand.
Looking ahead, Li Chuangqi expressed confidence in the product’s development. He stated
that, with Xiaomi’s platform support, the company aims to advance the smart glasses industry
chain significantly within the next three years. He estimated that annual shipments of Xiaomi
AI Glasses could exceed five million units, noting that China’s population of over 700 million
people with myopia represents vast market potential. Overall shipments could eventually
surpass 50 million units.
Lei Jun’s appearance at the parade with Xiaomi AI Glasses not only highlighted the
company’s technological innovation but also further enhanced the brand visibility and market
influence of its smart eyewear.
