Xiaomi AI Glasses Unveiled by Lei Jun | CNY 1999, 40g, 12MP, Super Xiao Ai

On June 26, the Xiaomi Launch Event officially kicked off. During the

event, the long-anticipated Xiaomi AI Glasses finally revealed their “mystery veil.”

According to official information, Xiaomi’s AI Glasses are priced from CNY 1999,

weigh 40 grams, offer up to 8.6 hours of battery life, and feature four levels of

adaptive dimming. Equipped with a 12MP high-definition camera, the glasses allow

immersive photo taking and video recording. They also support third-party video call

and livestreaming apps for real-time sharing, and can even function as open-ear

headphones. After the launch, the product will be available for in-store experience at

Xiaomi stores—users can book appointments to try it out.

This product runs on Xiaomi’s self-developed Vela system, which enables lower

power consumption and big-little core switching. The system is now open source and

can be adopted by other smart glasses manufacturers.

Even before the official launch, Xiaomi had already announced its first AI

glasses—the Xiaomi AI Glasses. Xiaomi founder and CEO Lei Jun posted two Weibo

videos showcasing the glasses’ capabilities in AI object recognition and video

recording, giving us the first look at what the product can actually do.

Lei Jun stated that the Xiaomi AI Glasses are “personal smart devices for the next

era,” acting as a portable AI portal. With the glasses on, users can simply ask Xiao Ai

what they’re seeing, and it will respond in real time with the answer.

Regarding another major feature—video recording—Lei Jun noted that the Xiaomi AI

Glasses support first-person perspective recording, essentially functioning like a

“first-person camera.” Whether you’re working out, cycling, rock climbing, cooking, or

taking care of children, you can record by simply saying, “Xiao Ai, start recording,”

and the glasses will begin capturing video. The result is dynamic and immersive

footage with strong visual impact.

From the demo videos shown, Xiaomi AI Glasses can record first-person videos in

nearly every life scenario—freeing up your hands and offering an immersive first-

person experience are the standout features of this product’s video capabilities.
