Emerging Chinese tech brand Kannan officially launched its flagship product, the KANAAN-K1 Pro smart glasses, on Kickstarter—marking the company’s global debut.
Weighing just 30 grams (excluding lenses), the K1 Pro is designed for all-day comfort
and seamless wear. With a focus on “invisible wearability + multimodal interaction,” it
directly addresses the pain points of over 600 million nearsighted users worldwide,
challenging global giants like Meta and Thunderbird.
The K1 Pro supports 0.3-second gesture-triggered snapshots and 5-second dynamic
video capture, all while maintaining ultra-low power consumption of just 300mW. It
integrates real-time multilingual translation, supports offline voice interaction, and
introduces an innovative AI companion “Xiao Nan,” powered by the MINIMAX
emotional engine to increase user engagement. It also comes with 32GB of
storage—enough for 5,000 ten-second videos—and IPX4 water resistance for daily
use.
As the AI glasses market grapples with the “function–battery life–weight” trade-off,
the K1 Pro aims to reset the industry benchmark with its lightweight, low-power
design. A successful campaign could push supply chain innovation and accelerate
mainstream adoption of smart eyewear.
Currently, only 1.2% of the world’s 1.4 billion nearsighted users have experienced
smart glasses. With global exposure through Kickstarter, Kannan hopes to drive a
shift from traditional single-function eyewear to smart, multifunctional glasses.
