High Power Technology has joined the AR Alliance, becoming its first Chinese
member specialized in lithium batteries for AR hardware.
The AR Alliance is a key global force in AR hardware development, bringing
together industry leaders from chips to end devices. Its founding board includes
STMicroelectronics, META, EssilorLuxottica, Corning, Google, and Qualcomm. The
alliance drives technological advancement and standardization in AR hardware
through deep member collaboration.
Unlike existing members focused on optics, chips,or displays, High Power
Technology enters as an "integrated energy solution provider," filling a critical gap in
power systems for AR devices.
As AI-powered devices gain momentum, AR glasses are emerging as the next major
personal computing platform after smartphones. Yet battery life, safety, and form
factor - the "impossible triangle" - remain key barriers to user experience and
lightweight design.
Dangyu, Pan, Chairman of High Power Technology, has positioned the company as a
leader in "AI + Solid-State" energy solutions. By advancing solid-state battery
technology, High Power aims to unlock the energy potential of next-gen AR/MR
devices.
