According to a report from Huanqiu.com on February 11, China Telecom's self-
developed AI smart glasses are expected to be officially launched as May 2025.
These glasses are equipped with several features, including object and face
recognition, making phone calls, editing text messages, and cross-language
translation. The company is also working on additional vertical applications, such as
recognizing food calories and nutritional content.

China Telecom has stated its goal to keep the cost of these glasses below 2,000
yuan.
At the 2024 Digital Technology Ecosystem Conference, China Telecom's AI glasses
also demonstrated their social value in assisting visually impaired individuals to visit
exhibition booths. Using the Starry Sky large model for image recognition and
delivering information through voice, the glasses provided significant convenience for
users with visual impairments.
It is worth noting that China Mobile has also made significant strides in the AI glasses
field. According to a technical expert from China Mobile, the company has provided
API access to its Nine Sky 75B language model to related manufacturers, enabling
precise intent recognition through conversations, and offering services such as one-
sentence navigation and music listening. Additionally, China Mobile has highlighted
the broad application prospects of AI glasses in sectors like education, healthcare,
and industry, believing that AI glasses will become an essential tool in these
industries.
Meanwhile, China Unicom, in collaboration with its partners, officially launched the
eSIMAI sports glasses in the second half of last year, further expanding the product
lineup in the AI glasses market.
