JD Technology unveiled that its smart shopping agent, JoyGlance, is now available on Rokid, a leading brand in smart glasses. This rollout
establishes the worlds first shopping application tailored specifically for smartAR
glasses.
The launch follows the strategic collaboration announced between JD and Rokid in
late 2025. JoyGlance is designed to streamline the traditionally multi-step shopping
journey - searching, comparing prices, adding items to cart, and completing payment
- into a seamless experience. With voice activation (for example, saying "Hey Rokid,
find me something similar"), users can simply look at a product through the glasses
for one to two seconds, then confirm the purchase via voice command. This reduces
the entire process to just three intuitive actions.
The technology targets distinct user needs and situational challenges. In moments
when hands are occupied - whether during workouts, household tasks, or childcare -
it enables truly hands-free shopping. Moreover, its user-friendly voice and visual
interface significantly lowers the technological barrier for older adults, supporting
greater digital inclusion.
Security remains a priority for JoyGlance, which integrates convenience without
compromising safety. The platform employs a dual-layer, finance-grade
authentication system combining speech recognition and voiceprint verification, while
also allowing personalized voice passwords. Leveraging multimodal biometric fusion,
the system mitigates risks associated with single-factor authentication and claims to
surpass the security of traditional passwords and fingerprint-based payments.
From today onward, customers purchasing Rokid AI glasses through JD.com can
select a JoyGlance-enabled version to be among the first to experience this
innovative smart glasses shopping solution.
