JD Tech, Rokid to launch smart glasses shopping assistant

Rokid has partnered with JD Technology to launch the world’s first smart glasses
shopping application, marking a major step in merging AR, AI, and retail experiences.
The new platform leverages JD Tech’s shopping AI, JoyGlance, which will debut on
Rokid’s smart glasses. With this system, users can identify items in the physical
world simply by looking at them and complete purchases using voice commands
combined with multiple layers of biometric authentication, effectively turning “seeing”
into “buying.”
Scheduled to go live in November, JoyGlance will allow users to recognize products
through the glasses’ camera, search for identical items online, and add them to their
shopping cart. Full order placement and payment functions are expected to be
available by January, enabling a seamless, end-to-end shopping experience. This
approach significantly streamlines the traditional shopping workflow, which typically
requires unlocking a phone, opening an app, searching, browsing, comparing prices,
placing an order, and completing payment. With JoyGlance, the process is reduced
to three simple steps: visual recognition, adding to cart, and voice-enabled payment.
This collaboration represents not only a transformation in how consumers shop but
also a redefinition of the e-commerce entry point itself. By integrating advanced AR
and AI interaction technologies, Rokid and JD Tech are creating a new paradigm where the physical world becomes the shopping interface. JoyGlance acts as a
personalized AI shopping assistant, capable of understanding user intent, intelligently
finding products, and securely facilitating transactions.
Ultimately, this innovation aims to bridge the gap between the real and digital worlds,
