“Wishes from the Potala Palace” VR Exhibition Debuts at Sunshine VR Studio Park in Shanghai

The groundbreaking VR exhibition Wishes from the Potala Palace officially opened in July

2025 at Sunshine VR Studio Park, a cutting-edge immersive venue located at 939 North Sichuan Road, Hongkou District, Shanghai.

Spanning over 2,000 square meters, Sunshine VR Studio Park features more than 50 IP-

based immersive experiences across themes including cultural heritage, sci-fi, escape rooms,

suspense, and role-playing. Previously featured on CCTV1, CCTV4, and CCTV13, the park is

renowned for its integration of high-tech storytelling with cultural tourism, allowing visitors to

seamlessly travel between physical and virtual worlds.

As the world’s first large-scale VR exhibition themed around the Potala Palace, Wishes from

the Potala Palace blends metaverse spatial technology with deep Tibetan cultural heritage.

The experience offers a powerful combination of immersive viewing and interactive

storytelling, inviting guests to explore the ancient palace’s legends and symbolism.

The narrative unfolds in seven chapters. Visitors embark on a magical journey with a digital

guide—sailing through snowy mountains, exploring the halls of the Potala Palace, discovering

enchanted jewels, navigating mysterious labyrinths, and releasing their personal wishes into

the universe.

Guests enjoy 30 minutes of free-roaming interaction in a 500-square-meter VR space, fully

immersed in Tibetan culture, nature, and introspection. This unique experience offers a

heartfelt message: What you see before you reflects what’s within.
