Tencent’s Hunyuan 3D Model Receives Major Upgrade

According to Tencent Hunyuan’s official WeChat account, the Hunyuan 3D

generation model has officially launched version 2.5, featuring a significant

enhancement in modeling precision. The new version delivers ultra-high-definition

geometric detail, with smoother surfaces, sharper edges, and richer features. Its

effective geometric resolution has increased to 1024, marking a leap from standard

to high-definition quality.

In terms of architecture, Hunyuan 3D v2.5 has undergone a comprehensive upgrade.

The total number of parameters has grown from 1 billion to 10 billion, and the number

of effective mesh faces has increased more than tenfold.

The Hunyuan 3D AI creation engine has been fully upgraded to the v2.5 base model.

The daily free generation quota has doubled to 20 uses per day. Additionally, the

Hunyuan 3D generation API has officially launched on Tencent Cloud, now available

to enterprises and developers.

To meet the needs of professional creators, version 2.5 also enhances the skeletal

rigging system. It now supports automatic bone binding and skin weight assignment

under non-standard poses, greatly improving the efficiency of 3D animation

generation.
