Meta-bounds Forms Strategic Partnership with China Unicom Industrial Internet Co., Ltd. and Announces Its Entry into the “AI Terminal Industry Alliance”

The launch event of the National AI Application Pilot Base

(Shenzhen, Dongguan), themed “AI Terminals, Co-creating the Future,” was

successfully held in Zhuhai. As China’s first pilot platform focused on mobile terminal

application scenarios, the base will collaborate with more than 100 ecosystem

partners, with an emphasis on AI intelligent terminals and AI-enabled manufacturing to jointly advance new industrialization.

At the event, Meta-bounds announced a strategic partnership with China Unicom

(Guangdong) Industrial Internet Co., Ltd. and confirmed its participation in the “AI

Terminal Industry Alliance.” Together with alliance members such as Volcengine,

Huawei, and OPPO, Meta-bounds will promote the large-scale implementation of AI

terminal technologies and contribute to the development of a strong, collaborative

industry ecosystem.

This strategic collaboration brings together the complementary strengths of both

parties. Under the overarching goals of the National AI Application Pilot Base, Meta-

bounds and China Unicom will work closely in several key areas related to AI

glasses. The two sides will co-build a neutral, public-service platform by leveraging

Meta-bounds’ planned open platform and China Unicom’s computing and ecosystem

resources, attracting global developers to innovate on Meta-bounds’ underlying

optical technologies and accelerating the growth of the AI glasses application

ecosystem. In addition, the collaboration will support the creation of diversified AI

glasses solutions based on the pilot base’s scenario requirements combined with

Meta-bounds’ full-chain technological capabilities, helping transform technological

achievements into market-ready products more efficiently.

Both parties will also work with government innovation resources to jointly apply for

industry–academia–research projects and deliver key outputs including scenario use

cases and datasets. Meta-bounds will provide China Unicom with design, R&D, and

production support for customized AI glasses tailored to consumer terminal needs.

Meanwhile, China Unicom will offer computing power, network services, and access

to ecosystem fund resources to support Meta-bounds’ capacity expansion and

technological advancement.
