The Copyright Office of the Government of India has granted copyright protection to a VR-based software platform designed to help children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) build social interaction skills through immersive virtual environments. The registration marks a meaningful moment not just for the team behind it, but for the broader intersection of neurodevelopmental care and spatial computing.
More Than a Headset
What sets this platform apart from novelty VR applications is its layered technical foundation. The development team combined immersive virtual environments with physiological sensing — tracking real-time bodily responses — alongside human-centered design principles shaped around the specific needs of autistic children.
