According to recent leaks from multiple tech bloggers, Huawei is expected to hold a
new product launch event on April 21st, where it will unveil several new devices,
including the Pura90 series, the foldable 2nd-generation Mate X series, AI glasses,
tablets, and wearable devices.
Among these, the AI glasses, focusing on photography capabilities, have attracted
widespread attention and are expected to be one of the highlights of the event. As
previously revealed by the blogger “Digital Chat Station,” the glasses will run on the
HarmonyOS system, support cross-device collaboration and real-time translation, and
will be available in three colors: Streamer Silver, Titanium Silver Gray, and Modern
Black.
In terms of product form, the glasses are similar to the Ray-Ban Meta AI glasses,
marking Huawei’s first AI glasses product centered around photography.
Looking back at Huawei’s journey in the smart glasses field, from the launch of its
first lightweight AI audio glasses in May 2024 to the release of the Smart Glasses 2
Titanium Round Frame optical glasses in April 2025, the company has spent over two
years building up its technological expertise and exploring the market. The upcoming
camera-equipped model will further enrich its AI glasses product lineup.
Regarding core hardware, as the glasses cannot use Qualcomm’s AR1 chip, industry
insiders speculate that Huawei will likely adopt its own self-developed low-power
HiSilicon Kirin chip and a self-developed ISP.
As a company with both mobile terminal and chip design capabilities, Huawei has
deep expertise in imaging. As a result, the actual camera performance of this new
product is highly anticipated. (Source: VRAR World)
