HTC Teases New VIVE Product Launching on August 14—Likely an AR Smart Glasses

HTC released a teaser poster announcing the launch of a new VIVE-series

product on August 14. Judging by the imagery, the upcoming device is expected to be a pair

of AR smart glasses designed for immersive experiences when connected to smartphones

like the HTC U24 Pro.

Last month, HTC VIVE revealed plans to host a launch event titled “What’s Next” at Taipei

101 on August 14, hinting at the debut of their first smart glasses. While the official teaser

simply states “The Future is Coming,” no specific product details have been disclosed yet.

HTC previously launched the VIVE Flow VR glasses in 2021, a lightweight (189g) headset

focused on mobile-connected immersive VR experiences. That device featured 3.2K

resolution, a 100° field of view, and a 75Hz refresh rate, retailing in China at CNY 3,888. The

new release is expected to expand HTC’s footprint in the wearable XR space.
