Recently, HKC officially launched globally its first 3.1-inch AR-HUD product for the
automotive sector. The product innovatively adopts Oxide technology and, backed by HKC’s
exclusively developed solution, delivers image quality and ultra-high brightness comparable
to OLED while also offering lower cost and stronger adaptability, providing a new benchmark
solution for AR-HUD applications.
In terms of core display performance, HKC has achieved a breakthrough through the world’s
first Oxide technology and its unique panel and backlight design. The product features 116%
NTSC color gamut coverage, with color reproduction accuracy comparable to OLED, fully
meeting the stringent requirements of in-vehicle scenarios for highly saturated and highly
faithful image quality. Combined with an RGB-Mini backlight tuning solution, peak
brightness exceeds 15,000 nits, ensuring that images remain clear, sharp, and comfortable
whether under direct sunlight or during night driving. At the same time, higher light
transmittance together with refined backlight control technology effectively improves the
ghosting and blurring that commonly affect AR-HUD imaging.
In terms of structure and process, the product breaks through the limitations of traditional
panels. Relying on a customized RGB-Mini backlight tuning solution, it achieves lower
power consumption and longer operational endurance at the same brightness level, perfectly
matching the strict low-energy demands of in-vehicle systems and striking a good balance between high performance and cost-effectiveness.
As HKC’s first HUD solution to be unveiled, this 3.1-inch product is deeply customized for
AR-HUD scenarios and can seamlessly adapt to mainstream in-vehicle AR systems,
presenting drivers with immersive AR overlay displays of key information such as navigation,
vehicle status, and safety alerts.
