It's an understatement to say that 2020 has been a year of disruption. the pandemic has changed us & the world forever, for better and, in some ways, for worse. As the year comes to an end I hope & pray the festive season will bring relief & strength to every single individual whose life was turned upside down by COVID.
Humanity was collectively tested and one thing became very apparent, that there are two kinds of human’s empathetic & apathetic.
Millions around the world poured their heart out and helped even strangers during these very trying times, then there was the apathetic kind who exploited the vulnerability created by the lockdown.
Landlords who refused to help, utility companies that sent hiked up bills.
The Govt who ordered the lockdown but adopted a blinkered vision, focussing only on matters of big business and banks, completely ignoring the plight of the common man & those people severely affected by problems created by the lockdown.
Banks were busy forcing loans to already overburdened SME’s & the moratorium have collectively been responsible for the GDP Contraction by 23.9%.
What has become clear from COVID is that the common man is always alone.
The brighter side of the pandemic is that augmented reality, virtual reality is being recognized as the core technology which could play a crucial role to reverse the covid impact by creating business continuity through Remote Education, Remote Work, Remote Healthcare & others.
