German Chancellor Friedrich Merz just concluded his first official trip to China
recently. Executives from around 30 leading companies representing Germany's
key industrial sectors - including automotive, chemicals, biopharmaceuticals,
mechanical engineering, and the circular economy - joined the visit, underscoring
Germany's strong commitment to deepening cooperation with China.
Misa, CEO of Rokid, delivered a speech as a representative of Zhejiang's tech
sector. During the event, German Chancellor and his delegation had the
opportunity to experience Rokid’s AI glasses firsthand.
According to Misa, Chancellor Merz voluntarily asked to try the device. He put on
the glasses and used their real-time translation feature to communicate directly
with Chinese officials present. Merz expressed great interest and appreciation for
the technology, even recommending it on the spot to German partners across
various industries.
Misa also shared that Europe is Rokid’s largest overseas market, with Germany
accounting for half of its business in the region. The company already
collaborates with German automakers such as Audi. Moving forward, Rokid plans
to establish a stronger foothold in Germany as a springboard to expand across
the European market.

I liked reading how the German chancellor tried Rokid AR glasses during his visit to China because it shows how leaders are curious about new tech and how it might change work and communication in the future. Using AR in real settings can help people learn faster or do tasks with more ease. It reminded me of a busy time in college when I was planning my career goals and needed support for tests, so I had job placement exam help services to manage a tough study period. Experiences like that taught me how hard planning ahead can be.
