Zeng Yang, Vice President and Head of the Public Communication
Center at DREAMSMART, announced that the company has officially launched the
world’s first offline payment function via AR glasses in Hong Kong. With this new
feature, users can complete payments simply through voice confirmation—no need
to take out a phone.
This innovative function deeply integrates AR technology with payment scenarios,
filling a gap in the smart glasses industry in the field of offline transactions. The
feature is now available on the DREAMSMART StarV Air2 smart glasses and is
expected to roll out gradually starting in Q3 this year. All new smart glasses models
released by the company this year will come equipped with this payment capability
as a standard feature.
According to Zeng Yang, through in-depth collaboration with the Alipay+ cross-border
payment technology team, DREAMSMART has fully leveraged the AR glasses’
optical waveguide display, voice noise reduction and capture, and camera-based QR
code scanning capabilities.
The StarV Air2 smart glasses were launched in China last September with a starting
price of CNY 2,799. The product uses an optical waveguide display solution, weighs
only 44 grams, and features an all-in-one prescription lens design with official lens
customization services. Available in amber and yellow, the StarV Air2 is powered by
DREAMSMART’s proprietary StarVision display system with a compact green-light
engine, supports ultra-bright 2000-nit display, and uses a scroll wheel for interaction.
Its key functions include real-time translation, quick note-taking, meeting assistant,
and AR navigation.
