DPVR has officially introduced the DPVR G5 Air, a new pair of AI-powered
sunglasses featuring a classic pilot silhouette, developed specifically for the global
markets. Designed as a premium AI sunglass built on a mainstream form factor, the
G5 Air is engineered around “all-day wearability,” with hardware choices, system
integration, and functionality all tailored for extended, everyday use.
The G5 Air adopts a timeless pilot frame design, refined through structural
enhancements and balanced weight distribution to support all day comfort.
Lightweight materials and ergonomic temples contribute to improved stability and
long-lasting wearability.
Equipped with smart photochromic lenses, the sunglasses automatically adjust their
tint in response to changing light conditions - remaining clear indoors and
transitioning to sunglass mode outdoors. This makes them highly adaptable for
seamless use across commuting, office, and outdoor environments.
In terms of imaging, the G5 Air is powered by a Sony IMX386 CMOS sensor capable
of recording 1500×2000 resolution video at 30fps. AI-enhanced algorithms enable
dynamic exposure compensation and real-time image tuning, delivering consistent
visual performance even in challenging or mixed lighting. The 13-megapixel first-
person camera is positioned as the device’s core functional anchor, offering always-
ready point-of-view capture.
The DPVR G5 Air is scheduled to launch shortly in overseas markets, and will be
available in black, translucent, and tortoiseshell colorways to accommodate diverse
user preferences.
