According to the latest data from CINNO Research, Chinas consumer-grade AI/AR
sector hit a historic milestone in 2025, with annual sales volume reaching 696,000
units - a remarkable 109% increase year on year. Key players such as RayNeo,
Xiaomi, XREAL, and Rokid fueled this surge through cutting-edge product offerings.
Breaking down the categories, split-type AR glasses - already a well-established
segment - recorded 368,000 units sold in 2025, up 53% year on year. Their broad
price range and continuous enhancements in user experience helped maintain their
role as the markets backbone.
All-in-one AR glasses, propelled by brands like Rokid and Meizu, saw an explosive
176% year-on-year growth, positioning themselves as the new standard for "all-day
wearability, lightweight design, and immersive experience"
The fastest-growing category was screenless AI glasses, which soared by 319% year
on year. Major tech companies including Meta, Xiaomi, and Baidu collectively
launched over 30 new products in this space. However, a quarter-on-quarter dip in
Q4 pointed to emerging challenges, notably increasing product homogenization.
RayNeo led the pack with a dominant 32% market share and an impressive 125%
annual sales growth. Its success stems from a well-executed strategy spanning both
AI and AR product lines. The RayNeo Air series continued to expand rapidly, with the
new Air 4 and Air Pro models gaining traction thanks to upgraded optics and audio.
Meanwhile, its color waveguide glasses, the X3 Pro, claimed the top spot in the
premium segment (priced above 5,000 CNY).
Xiaomi followed with a 15% share, driven by its first-generation AI smart glasses,
which sold 105,000 units over the year. Leveraging its strong brand presence, Xiaomi
topped monthly sales charts for multiple months in Q2 and Q3.
XREAL captured 12% of the market, ranking third. Its flagship high-end products
have earned a loyal following among tech enthusiasts and professionals.
Rokid emerged as a standout performer in the second half of the year. Its Rokid
Glasses led the all-in-one category, while a co-branded AI glasses line with Bolon
successfully tapped into the mass market through combined branding and shared
distribution channels.
