China's First Subway VR Experience Zone Opens at Zhengzhou Metro Line 2Dongfeng Road Station

China’s first large-scale VR experience zone within a subway station

officially opened at Dongfeng Road Station on Zhengzhou Metro Line 2. This project

is a collaboration between Henan Today Consumer Culture Media Co., Ltd. and

Zhengzhou Metro Group. By combining "subway + technology + cultural tourism," the

project transforms a typical subway environment into an engaging, immersive

experience, adding excitement and energy to the daily commute.

The VR zone at Dongfeng Road Station offers a wide range of themes, including

history, culture, science fiction, and fantasy. Experiences like The Tang Dynasty

Journey, Mission Mars, Return to the Pyramid, Theatre Ghost, and Dinosaur

Adventure allow participants to break the boundaries of time and space.

One of the standout features of this experience is that participants can move freely

throughout the space. Unlike traditional VR setups where users are confined to a

fixed position, the VR zone at Dongfeng Road Station utilizes a high-precision

tracking system and wireless VR gear provided by DaQian Magic XR World, allowing

users to walk, run, and fully immerse themselves in the experience. The virtual

avatars move in real-time with the participant, enabling interaction and collaboration

with others, creating a truly interactive and immersive environment.

The opening day saw huge crowds at the Dongfeng Road Station experience zone,

with many passengers, particularly younger people and families, eager to check it

out. Popular experiences like The Tang Dynasty Journey and Dinosaur Adventure

were particularly appealing to families, attracting large numbers of parents and

children who were excited to dive into the immersive fun.
