On April 2nd, Qwen AI Glasses received its first OTA update, integrating with
Taobao Flash Sale and Alipay. The first batch of AI service capabilities, including
mobile top-ups, bike-sharing via QR codes, parking payment, and ordering takeout,
were launched, enabling smart glasses to move from simply “seeing” to “getting
things done.”
This upgrade focuses on the most common “small inconveniences” encountered in
daily life: Want some coffee? Say “Order me an iced Americano” to the glasses, and it
will initiate a Taobao flash Delivery and allow you to place your order; if your phone
credit is low, say “Mobile top-up” to the glasses to top up your mobile phone; if you
see a shared bike on the street, just glance at it, and the glasses will recognize it and
unlock it instantly via Alipay; if you need to pay for parking by car, the glasses can
scan the code to complete the payment, all without needing to operate your phone.
In the past, these tasks often required taking out your phone, unlocking it, and
opening the relevant software. Now, with the Qwen AI Glasses, you only need to say
a sentence or “take a look,” and after your confirmation, the task can be completed,
greatly improving convenience.
It is reported that the Qwen AI Glasses G1 is the first AI hardware product launched
under the Qwen brand. This OTA update covers both the Qwen AI Glasses G1 and the
Quark AI Glasses G1, and will be rolled out progressively starting today. Users
simply need to update the “Qwen AI Wearables” mobile app to the latest version, and
upgrade the glasses’ system to version 1.2.0, to experience the new features.
Additionally, the Qwen AI Glasses S1 will make its debut this month, and will also
support these “task-doing” capabilities in future updates. (News source: VRAR
